Freedom.

It is such a simple word. Seven letters and yet so often misunderstood. Regardless where one is from, each of us places shackles upon ourselves whether by our own free will, which many are blessed with being able to, or those imposed by others, which is why slavers still exist. This is the grim reality which has existed for a length of time well past our own years. Yet there is hope...if we but act on it.

Each of us has the chance to remove these shackles. Do some of us fear? Absolutely. He who holds nothing of value has nothing to lose. Yet courage is not having a lack of fear. Rather, it is acting in the face of it.

It is not fear which guides those of us who choose to persevere. Rather, it is something we acknowledge and move past. Where there is hope, there is life yet it is of utmost importance that we act upon it. That is courage. That is what it means to wake up truly free.

I know that it may be easy to decry the Divine as obsolete or blame Them for what happened. Yet those of us who worship Them do so for a reason and it is most certainly not, at least for some, to be in a 'cage'. Rather, it is because we exercise our blessed free will to do so. That some of Them were deceived as well is not something by which we should judge lest we dare judge ourselves according to the same measure.

Whether Divine or mortal, it is up to each of us to decide the course of our actions. Not only in this threat which we face, but further on. When faced with an end, those who stand and fight will be the ones whom history remembers. Those who raise high their banner and seek to bring about the dreams which were shared, the Light burning bright within their hearts, and being willing to act despite fear will be the ones for whom tales are told.
