With the battle with the Serpent imminent, the Maelstrom has spent the last while hunting down its children - monstrous beasts larger and more fearsome than even the Kraken of Riparium - which roam not only the Plane of Water, but also our very oceans on the Prime Material. The Maelstrom has located one, and intends on hunting it down to slay it, and hopefully prepare ourselves for fighting the Serpent itself.

To that end, some of the best craftsmen in Enorian and Duiran had been tasked with engineering weapons capable of piercing the hides of these beasts. This week, such a weapon was completed, a specialized ballista, and will be mounted upon a ship. Within the next few weeks, an expedition will be launched to hunt down the Serpent-spawn like a whale. While it is no Leviathan, it likely will not be an easy kill regardless.

Please keep to the tasks given to you by our divine, and help in whatever way you can. And if you enjoy a challenge, perhaps you might want to consider going on a little 'fishing trip'.
