Greetings, Sapience.
The city of Bloodloch will be hosting an essence contest in tribute of
the Malevolence, Iosyne, our new city Patron. This contest will be open
to all who wish to participate, from all walks of life - should you wish
to keep your participation on the down-low, that can be arranged by
contacting me directly. The contest will run from the next howling - the
8th of Ios, 460 - through the howling seven weeks after on the 25th of
Ios. There will be prizes for the top five participants, and all those
who offer at least one million essence will receive a participation
reward. The Malevolence will likely take notice of those who stand out,
as well, and may have further rewards to offer.
Here is the prize breakdown, with one twist. The prizes will be DOUBLED
for all five winners, should the entire essence offered during the
contest exceed 200,000,000! Additionally, any one finalist exceeding
30,000,000 essence on their own will receive the doubled amount
regardless of the final total.
First place will receive 65 credits and 250,000 gold - potentially
doubled to 130 credits and 500,000 gold!
Second place will receive 40 credits and 150,000 gold - or 80 and
300,000!
Third place will receive 20 credits and 100,000 gold - 40 and 200,000!
Fourth place will receive 10 credits and 50,000 gold - 20 and 100,000!
Fifth place receives 5 credits, and 15,000 gold - 10 and 30,000!
This is an unprecedented essence contest, one that I expect will draw
the attention of citizens all over Sapience. There is no restriction on
who can win these prizes, and there should be no shame felt for
participating - unless you serve the God of Poverty and Sadness, because
in that case you are simply doing it wrong!
The essence totals of the top five participants will be revealed every
two weeks, after the first reveal keep your eyes peeled for some
interesting side bet possibilities!
1,130,000 gold and 280 credits up for grabs! And some more to be made on
the betting and side games! Not to mention the glory and honor of
serving the Malevolence through competition and bloodshed.
