So close, yet so far

Tratmo,

When you taught me as a fledgling Sage about our Mother and about Lanu
Du, your words rang with an unshakable conviction. You told me also that
the faith of the Nazetu on the continent was not to be trusted - that
they had strayed from the old ways, that the Mother alone was not
enough. I am glad to see you have repented of your original stance, but
you and Urrop have not yet gone far enough.

You must accept that the Dark Mother does not have the answers that we
require. Not as Nazetu, not as proud descendants of the islands. We must
find freedom through Spirit, and for that to happen, you must realize
the shackles that She has placed on us. We were made to seem ugly to
other races, the better that we might feel that only She loved us. We
were made to be slimy, to incur disgust. We were made to suit war and
conflict, not only to frustrate our attempts at advancement but to serve
as pawns for Her sacrifice.

The Dark Mother has never cared about a single member of our race, Sage
Tratmo. The Nazedha recognized this, and reached toward another. You
recognized this. Instead of marching forward, you retreat backward. The
offer stands, for you and all Nazetu - join us. Come before the Gods of
Light, and be purged of our Mother's Corruption. Come before the Gods of
Light and know freedom. The Arqeshi are what we must become. Not the
same neglected pawns as ever She has mustered.

-Freydha, the Redeemed

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Slyphian, in the year 453 MA.
