A second chance

Dear corpsemen,

Why follow a coward if you are so strong?

Why fear destruction if you are so undying?

Let me tell you a story. Some time ago, there was a war. The corpsemen
thought, oh, we will crush the tree-folk before Enorian can help! But
they couldn't. And then, you know what? Enorian went to Bloodloch, and
your Keeper said - not once, not twice, but three times, 'not dying is
much more important than these hundred troops I command, I ought abandon
them as soon as I see the most powerful Gepideth by himself!' Such is
the story of the last war, and why the corpsemen lost; the cowardice of
a single leader.

And all the ylem? Your Keeper sits from afar, trying to steal your
glory. She takes flight the very moment any one of you -- her minions
dies, even if the battle is going favorably and the warriors of Light
are still outnumbered. It has been proven time and time again that your
master values selfishness over the progress and well-being of your hole
in the mountain.

I would welcome you into our city, lost corpsemen. We would purify you,
supply you, retrain you, give you the new life, purpose and chance you
deserve. We would encourage you to grow with us. We would fight and die
beside you. Do not let the corruption consume you, it demands an
unsatisfying existence of weakness and deceit.

Fear the sun no longer. The dawn awaits you.
