Spinesreach has a vacant shop for sale, which will be auctioned to the
general populace. Anyone who is not an enemy or a member of an
organization considered hostile to the city may place bids. If you are
unsure, simply ask and it will be clarified for you.
To bid, simply MESSAGE AOI with your maximum bid. Please review the rest
of the post for details of this particular style of auction.
AD 517 will list the current highest bid and other useful information.
Shop Information
Shop: The Snarling Wolf
Directions: North, north, north, and west from the Inner Gate.
Current Description:
Upon entrance of the shop, the most easily noticeable feature is its
stunning display of color- jade green and ebony appear to be a
deliberate theme in the entirety of the store. The ground beneath is
covered in a shining checkerboard-like pattern of tile that matches the
running color scheme, meticulously cleaned and practically glowing. The
center of the shop is dominated by what appears to be a rotund, circular
counter. Forming the base of the counter is a nearly translucent
glass-like material, stained a darker jade than that of the tiles around
it. The counter top itself, on the other hand appears to be made of pure
obsidian. Its top is smooth to the touch and unmarred, contrasting
sharply with the edges which carry on a typical obsidian-like
jaggedness. Around the counter appear to be wares neatly organized and
clearly separated by type, offering the store a pleasant air of
professionalism.
The winner will be given a free remodeling of their shop, paid for by
the city.
Explanation of auction style
All bidding is anonymous. Bidders are expected to bid the most they are
willing to pay for the given shop. Your bid will be increased
automatically as needed, up to the maximum price you have set aside, to
ensure your leadership in the auction. The final price of the shop will
be determined by the second highest bid plus an increment of 10,000
golden sovereigns.
In the event of a tie, the second one to bid will be informed of an
outbidding and given the chance to increase their maximum bid. In this
event, the highest bid will not include an increment.
You may increase your maximum bid as often as you desire.
Example:
Beginning bid is 200,000 gold
Syssin bids 250,000 gold
Syssin is expected to pay 210,000 gold if she wins, new highest bid.
Infernal bids 500,000 gold
Syssin is informed she has been outbid.
Infernal is expected to pay 260,000 gold if he wins, new highest bid.
Atabahi bids 300,000 gold
Atabahi is informed that he has been outbid.
Infernal is now expected to pay 310,000 gold if he wins, new highest
bid.
Consanguine bids 130 credits, (507,000 gold)
Infernal is informed he has been outbid.
Consanguine is expected to pay 130 credits (507,000 gold) if she wins,
new highest bid.
This systems offers more flexibility for bidders who are unable to be
present towards the end of a sale.
