Talent Competition

Citizenry,
It has come to my attention, thanks to a wonderful reading done by one
of your citymates earlier this month, that morale may be down among the
individual persons of the Beacon. Only a scattered few of you attended
the semi-impromptu event despete Leriss' exceptional effort, and this
disheartened me greatly. Enorian, the Beacon of light: once a city of
smiling faces and babbling laughter, has now turned to a hushed reading
on a quiet stage - wonderfully performed - ignored by the vast majority
of now grim faces and haunted silence.
Let us return to those youthful days, and perhaps in that spirit of joy
may we beckon to the Age of Dawn. For us to operate again on a level
which we are not daunted by - nay - are inviting change and progress, we
must work on our communication. We must band together again, citizens,
and meld our secluded minds, our personal talents, and our own honed
prowess together. The people must unite and form that which is lacking
in nothing. Let us create a true Beacon among the darkness of this
Midnight Age, an exclamation of unstoppable beauty in the filth and
chaos-ridden wasteland.
I propose a talent-competition.
Youths and weary-boned alike can participate. Come and show your city
what you have to offer her, whether in the way of a delicious display of
swordsmanship, a marvelous feat of juggling, or a heart-wrenching poem.
Let us combine our marvelous talents in a cacophony of strength that
none can dispute.
You need not fit any requirements to join in. Simply mail me a letter
with a general outline of your talent, and how you plan on displaying
it, and I shall make sure it is appropriate and we have the necessary
set-up to allow for your performance. Letters should be mailed in by the
15th of Severin, 308 MA, as the actual show will be held on the 17th.
The winner will be awarded 15 credits, second and third place will each
be awarded 5.
See that you participate, citizens. It is surely to be a momentous
occasion held in the honor of our grand city.
