Spirit and Shadow, Life and Undeath

My fellow inhabitants of Sapience,
Earlier this month there was a meeting help with Lanos, who spoke
through the body of Arion, and something of great importance was
revealed that I feel compelled to share with everyone.
Curious about Lanos and Arions intentions and values at this point in
time, I said I understand that survival is now your primary concern, and
that leads me to wonder what your stance on undeath is at this point. Or
if you have any at all my lord.
"You are all familiar with the element of Spirits and Shadow?" was Lanos
reply. Amongst those in attendance with this meeting with Lord Lanos
there were varying degrees in knowledge about the matter, but those
shall be excluded for they are not important. What is of the uttermost
importance is what Lanos, still speaking through the form of Arion, said
next. These are his exact words.
They are as opposed as He and I and if you could comprehend the means by
which you live, you would see that it is My Spirit that drives you,
while the others are rooted in His Shadow.
He went on to say, as quarreling siblings often do, that he was better
than Severn and things of that nature. However, we have taken a great
step forward. We are now in possession of the knowledge of the
fundamental distinction between life and undeath. The source of life is
spirit, and the source of undeath is shadow.
This information will likely be of benefit to the entire world, and some
of my allies may criticize me for my decision to share this with
everyone. Only those who follow the light were in attendance with the
meeting with Lanos and they might claim that the information was
intended only for his followers. However, it is my sincere belief that
information such as this is meant for the entire world, and not merely a
segment of it, regardless of the advances that one side or another may
make by using it. And it is for that reason, that I have written this
for all to see.
Yours in the light,
Valencia
