A recipe for forgiveness

Ingredients
-----------
1 Imp, poked until tender
1 city, thoroughly wronged
a handful of citizens, shaken out of complacence
several dead bodies - adjust to taste
a pinch of trouble
a dash of bloodthirst
2 gallons of remorse
a pound of flesh
a decade of penance
Directions
----------
Prepare city. Murder and wantonly disreputable actions work best -
slaying the beloved of the Patron work best for strongest flavour. Mix
in disrespect and trouble; season thoroughly and allow to marinate for
several months.
Mixture should result in ejection and hatred. Bake beneath heavy regret
for at least a year.
Prep forgiveness: mix remorse, penance, flesh and let sit for several
months. Test temperature of city. If needed, let sit for several more
months. Test again. If still not ready, slice own wrists and drain into
the batter and self-flagellate until stiff peaks form. Test city again.
Quite likely, this will not result in forgiveness. But it's a damn fine
start. Hopefully Enorian will take you back eventually. If not, stick
head in oven; cook until crispy.
