Ponderings on your recent post.

I couldn't help but notice your post a little bit back, and I was
immensely curious. You mentioned a man who attacked people while they
hunted, who ran from equal fights and could only attack those of lesser
skill and power, and who had to request help from his city and guild if
he started a fight and couldn't finish it. I wasn't entirely sure why
you would write a post about Edhain, but I kept reading to see what else
you had to say.
I then noticed how you complained about how your city had "lesser
numbers", and I couldn't help but chuckle a bit. It was only last month
when I stepped from my city's gates, stretched my arms, and went to
pondering the local rocks when I was attacked not only by the person you
spoke about (Edhain), but a multitude of traps. He kept me splayed out
upon the ground, paralyzed, my arms broken and sickened enough to be
unable to cure myself, and tried to threaten the "truth" out of me about
being a scout. Only the fact of my body being paralyzed kept me from
rolling on the floor in laughter.
Not only does your city hide within its gates when it has the opposition
of an equal force, but it only ventures outside when its enemies are
sleeping, much like a small forest animal when larger, hungrier beasts
are afoot. You depend on spies to gain information, tempting those of a
weaker mind with trinkets and dross in order to achieve your goals.
I am but a small Teradrim, one of the few remaining who stand against
the City of Lies in combat. I have little prowess myself, but time and
time again your allies fell beneath my club and my golem during this
war. I've no doubt it will happen again.
