Scared of a man who has never once agreed to a duel of one against one?
Scared of a man who's city and guild jumps to his side when he is losing
- yes, losing - a battle he began? I have died many times through this
encounter, and each time, I feel a certain pride. Our numbers have
always been the lesser, due to whatever weight your 'master' claims to
hold in your guild and city, and yet through it all, we have never plead
for help, and only once has our advantage been great enough to overwhelm
this man.
Yes, sometimes we win, and sometimes, your numbers triumph over our
abilitiy. Simple. Loyalty is not the question here, but when your
'master' began this debachery by his own ego, and now hides behind the
swords of his guild and city - only allowing a fight after seeing his
own advantage in it, surely you cannot blame us for laughing, for not
feeling the abject fear that one like Benedicto or Threas strikes when
Tyriik enters the room hiding behind -their- abilities.
Dear me, we are terrified of the man who jumps us while hunting, who
swarms us in great groups, who claims triumph when he has seen the side
of death as many times as those he wishes to terrorize, even in spite of
his own fear of singularity.
Our ears are drooping indeed, Madam. Sheath your sword, entreat your
guild to the same - let MY Master's blades speak against your own's. Let
us see surely who is afraid of who, and where the true triumph lays.
