Are we really corruption?

There are two sides. Light and Dark. In those two sides, you have your
good and evil. Both sides have them. Both sides have your corrupted and
your pure. Not all winged beings are good. Not all who follow the
darkness are evil.

Take out evil from your mind. Take out good from your mind as well. What
is good and evil is what is beneficiary to your self or is harmful. What
helps you will be good to your perception. What hurts you would be evil.
You will have your necessary evils to take care of, as well as those
truths you must follow. Take a collective mind about truth and evil, and
then you will have the lighties fighting, hunting Vampires down because
they take us to be evil. We though, would deem their actions to be evil,
because they disrupt the balance between light and dark. In disrupting
the balance, you can be good or evil depending on the reasoning you
have.

Now how you ever heard "truth is beauty and beauty is truth, for that's
all you ever need to know"? Truth can be found in corruption, but I'd
say only in the act. When you throw off that mask you wear and feel to
your "great carnal desires" you will become truthful in your actions, in
your state, and hence you will become beautiful. This beauty is shared
with the truth of light and dark. The desire does not hunger for power,
sex, wealth, fame, or pride. Those things come with the path you tread,
and that path will define who you are. The desire that rests within us
is not corruption, but it's our truth. It doesn't need approval. Why
would your desires need approval from your actions? It's what makes you
who you are. It couldn't care less about approval, but it needs to be
fed. You take the food from the dog, and you can make it follow you. It
doesn't care about you, it cares about being fed. It's already there.
Just the thing is, from the start you were trained to control it.
Smacked on the hand when you reached for that cookie. That's gluttony
being controlled.

"You are corrupt." I will disagree most on this point. You are not
corrupt for controlling your actions. Though your inner desires may poke
out, it doesn't make you corrupt. What makes you corrupt is the
indecision of who or what you are. I don't see myself as corrupt, but
quite the reverse. I am Cold.

I learned to control my desires, to release them when it will only cause
pleasure. To hold my tongue, to stare at the eyes, to hold the lust at
back. To not do my actions for myself but for other people. Each one of
us has dreams. These dreams are not necessarily for our selves, they
might be for a common good in light or dark. But that doesn't make us
corrupt. To let yourself be fed, that is not weakness. That is not
taint. That is truth. You control yourself, you hold your self
accountable for your actions, and that will be truth. But the moment you
falter, the moment you begin to doubt that you are ever going to be who
you really are, you start to sin against yourself. You start to fall
into what's no longer truth and beauty, but what is corruption.

It may be that we have different views of corruption. But to come across
and say to someone, "You are corrupt." Is wrong. I am not corrupt. I
will be corrupt when I fall from the honor that binds me. That is not
weakness either. I tread the darkness, but both the light and the dark
have their corruption. Both sides have their villians and heros. Don't
forget that.

I'm not angry at you. How can I be. Your view is different than my own.
My truth is not your own. But really, hire a scribe to dispuite your
words? I'm doing this on my own part.

With all the love I have,
Lord Caligo Voltaire.
