I have decided to renege on my last post. I wrote it in anger. While
there is certainly no detriment the forces of undeath could call upon me
at this point to stop me from covering the dry hills or mhojave with
deadly traps, to do so is simply not the way I was raised. I believe
that the Gods will look favorably down on me for taking the high road
and I intend to stick to it. I believe our Gods will lead us to a final
victory.

Desian, since I am sure you will bring it up, I also renege upon my
promise to duel you to the death this next month. We have fought before
and it has resulted in my retreat, though you have never managed to
pressure me by yourself. I don't understand your obsession, predating
even my rise to notoriety, with having me duel you. I am a mhun and you
are an Azudim. You are twice my might. I don't think it speaks highly of
you that you are so excited about a duel with me. Everyone I know has
been telling me I should ignore you. I have decided to take their
advice.

To that end, I have also decided to withdraw from this conflict. It was
not a fight I was required to participate in, but I felt joining in was
the right thing to do. Talking about honor may be pointless, but having
it is not. When a battle closer to the interests of Duiran happens, you
all will see me again, and I will have people to watch my back at that
point.
