This Thing Called Love,

Love is not a trial,
nay, it is not a test.
Love is not a competition,
to see whom loves the best.

Love offers not the answer,
to what this life is suppose to mean.
Love offers a life by which to live,
somewhat more happily.

Love seeks not to control fate,
it does not lead by destiny's hand.
Love is there within the heart,
from a woman, within a man.

Love is not a fearful state,
not something to seek refuge from.
Love is a moment in eternities bliss,
you must grasp it when it comes.

Love unfortunately knows the loss,
that comes when time is through.
They say love is to set something free,
if its yours, it returns to you.
