Wind billowed through your wings,
Much like my own...fluttering on a breeze.
Frail leaf just like me...just like the rest...

May the wind still carry you,
Beyond this realm to worlds where all those we love now lie.
How many parts of my heart keep blackening into silence,
With every flicker of light that is snuffed.

Dream of the castle in the skies,
Where all the winged go,
Lilted voices singing refrain of the joys of life,
Pain of my heart forgotten,
Perfection of mind

Valiant knight who will watch over us now?
When steeds have fled and compassion all for naught...
Tender friends so long long gone,
Who will wipe our tears, and guard our door?

Sweet words and gentle voice,
Lost on the wind,
Speckaled through my mind,
Aching moans of goodbye.

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Variach, in the year 126 MA.
