dreams

Sometimes in the night I feel
the darkness creeping 'round
and when it settles in I see
my jumbled life aground

For though I cannot comprehend
or even reason why
it seems that fate has dealt a blow
so crueld - so that I cry

Haern weaves his snares for me
his poisons aimed and true
and so I breathe my last, once more
at peace now, throught and through

when I awake, my mind is free
of nighttime's cruel remiss -
no trace of swirling fog remains -
but, memories sweet kiss

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Slyphian, in the year 125 MA.
