Poetry News Post #844

Isolation

Written by: Brother Xel, Sentaari Student

Behind closed doors the light grows dim,
While untold thoughts pervade.
Abstraction breathes the air so grim,
And ignorance begins to fade.

Society is lost in muted bliss.
The release of a putrid hold.
That from the hand we must have missed.
When, to them, we've sold our soul.

The outside world soon disappears,
Inside the truth swims free.
A final meeting of hidden fears,
With no stray eyes to see.

Behind those doors we're one again.
The mask has pealed away
The bones beneath we shall amend
With isolation and our say.

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Midautumn, in the year 125 MA.
