Candles

Written by: Phobos Imperil, the White Snake
Date: Tuesday, March 30th, 2004
Addressed to: Everyone

This world has outlived me:

I am one candle above
a sea of white wax.

Each breath draws absence
The smoke of loss

Flickering, casting
faces on a drifting haze

One by one they fall to rain
or wind, or snow...

To leave me -
choking in fumes.

-Phobos

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Chakros, in the year 125 MA.
