My dreams

In dreams come death.
As you climb these stairs your breath grows still.
Farther up your heart starts to whine in pain and echo in your ears.
Your body aches as you go up and grow older.
When you reach the top the stairs stop and disappear.
You find yourself clinging to the edge of a cliff just off the end.
You're clawing at the hard rock and your feet are slipping.
You try to find something to grip but nothing is there and you fall.
The dark consumes you as you go blind, the airs whistles grow faint, and
your breath stops.
In dreams come death...

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Chakros, in the year 124 MA.
