Control

To he who stands in my path at every junction of my life...

Upon this world my mind doth hold
A flicker of light and my path unfolds
I see ahead, your burning light
And as you look, I cross your sight
Your piercing gaze, my breathing slight
I struggle to gain control

You stand upon my path I see
And with you there, I'll not be free
From pain, from torture, from the grief you've caused
You look upon me, you see my flaws
And upon my soul your black heart draws
Won't you please just let me be

One day you'll leave and I'll be alone
You speak at me, your disgusted tone
So step from my path, be on your way
Or for you, very soon, there'll be hell to pay
And with that hell, so ends your days
Know now that my anger has grown

And as you draw upon my soul
I see it in you, there is no goal
No reason to hate, yet you seem to hate me
But I swear to you, I will be free
Oh god how it burns, can't you see?
I've almost lost control...

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Lleian, in the year 120 MA.
