A Lasting Kiss

I still dream of the days you once kissed my lips.
And of the times watching magic fly from your fingertips.
The memory of you I have kept sacred and true.
I was once yours, my soul I gave to you.
What you taught me of life I'll never forget.
Every kiss with you I'll never regret.
In all that was gained and all that was lost.
You gave me our son, a memory I cherish the most.
I made a promise to you, to be with no other.
And here I remain, lost in time, slowly I smother.
Forever I remain yours to take.
A lasting kiss I wish I could make.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Midautumn, in the year 119 MA.
