Poetry News Post #731

For Her.

Written by: Lone Wolf Exos Brannador, the Silent

Addressed to: Everyone

Morning comes too early
And night time falls too late
And sometimes all I want to do is wait.
The shadow I've been hiding in,
Has fled from me today.

I know it's easier to walk away
Than look it in the eye.
But I will raise a shelter to the sky
And here beneath this star tonight I'll lie
She will slowly yield the light
As I awaken from the longest night

Returning to beginnings
This circle of you and I;
And in this place is heard a silent cry
Everging from the lips of he,
Forgotten evermore.

Learning takes a lifetime for
It to embed into the heart.
This time it's goodbye fore'er.
The circle's broken 'fore it starts.

And I have given all that I could take
Now I've only habits left to break
Tonight I'll still be lying here, surrounded
In all the light.

Farewell.

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Severin, in the year 118 MA.
