Candles

The candle wick burning slowly down, it's true malovolence unbidden.
It shows in the light what the darkness had tried, so well, to keep
hidden.
Yet it falters, it fails, the light burns out, leaving the creatures of
night.
To play, to stray, to pillage and rape, to destroy, burn and fight.
They run rampant freely, evilly and joyfully, easily tearing away all.
The civilizations will falter, mankind lost, and the world as we know it
will fall.

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Slyphian, in the year 117 MA.
