Requiem for Arienne

You struck my heart with lightning
That fateful magic day.
You gave me something special
I could not turn away.
Broken souls divided
Suddenly united
'Twas you, the darkness lighted
Shining bright as day.
You lit the darkest nightmare
In your mystic loving way.
That fateful magic day.

Something still was missing
From the lifetime that we shared.
And though I loved you truly
Your spirit wasn't spared.
Your body broken
Passions awoken
Those dreadful words were spoken
To me, the one who cared.
Wishes to be whole again
To match the soul you bared.
In that lifetime that we shared.

Sadness overcame you
And none could ease your pain.
You sat there in our garden
Where your tears fell like rain.
Hopelessness abounds
Suffering resounds
My absent silence sounds
switch gold
Your world had lost its happiness
You felt your immortality strain.
And none could ease your pain.

Since that fateful day together
I've never been the same.
That moment I promised forever
And my heart was yours to claim.
But hope was lost
Your life the cost
My soul is chilled with frost
And my spirit sinks in shame.
For you died here without me
And there's none but me to blame.
I'll never be the same.

I promised to love you forever.
I swore to not divorce.
I took your hand in marriage.
I'm married to you still.
In my heart you live forever.
My lover
My friend
My queen
My wife.

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Severin, in the year 116 MA.
