Good enough

Middle of the road
Good enough for education
For lower class fashion
For a spot in an event
At the back, unnoticed

To look at you, not much
To be with you, uninteresting
You end up left by those you trust
And go on, cos it's all you know
And accept a middle of the road position

For all you've done, anod,
Your sole recognition a thanks
But they won't think of you for better
No matter what you've done
You may as well have failed

At least then, they would have scorned
And noticed
Which,
happens less now

And you'd rather be alone
With the silence and your tears
At least no one tells you
You have nothing to cry about

Nothing to cry about
Except not being special
Not enough to be remembered

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Midsummer, in the year 113 MA.
