Standing alone amidst the shadows of the world
feeling the biting cold of solitude,
dreaming of years now past,
wishing to go back and change that fate filled day.

Remembering all the words,
the pain,
the misery all again,
the fights,
the tears
I have carried all these years,
Wipe it all away,
let it fade,
like deepest night,
into a bright new day,
Let me be free,
free from the pain,
free from the lies,
free from this dreadful pain that rips inside,

Give my heart hope,
and let my spirit soar,
give me the strength
to dream a new dream,
and wish upon new stars,

I feel alive now,
so delicately alive,
New love has touched me,
deep inside,
I feel the warmth now spreading,
and I am no longer dreading,
those terrible dreams of the past,
but I now wish for an eternity to last,
that this love remain true,
And to each other we remain,
within wishes and dreams,
until the time for dreams does fade,
and wishes become reality again.
