Poetry News Post #569

I won't say who, but she will know.

She knows who she is...

She captured my heart.
Brought warmth and joy.
Tore it apart.
An abandoned toy.

She brought me true love.
She was everything to me.
But now she is gone.
My life is agony.

The times we that we shared were the best of my life.
A broken man I stand, all I feel now is strife.

I want her to be happy.
Her decision was fine.
But I just can't stand by.
And see what could have been mine.

My life means no more.
I don't know if I can restart.
For nothing means anything.
To my dead and withered heart.

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Severin, in the year 111 MA.
