a shadow crosses the face of the moon,
a deep sorrowful cry is heard,
the morning sun's first radiant hues,
a whispering wind drifts above
depth and desire
passion and pain,
torn inside,
beauty and disdain,
ripped from within,
healed yet scared
time drifts forward
drawing close the stars
your eyes may wander
your heart dispair
but look inside
and you will find a safe place there
you can search for eternity
and never find
the beauty within
the simplistic hands of time
as the day fades to past,
and a new day dawns the future,
remember always
there is more beyond
beyond what you feel
beyond what you see
beyond everything in life
just look beyond it all.
