Heart's Song

One instant in time, held eternally in my heart.
In that instant, that magnificent magical moment, my life was changed
forever.
You opened my eyes to the glory that is you,
And each moment of my life was spent with hope and beauty,
And the wish of love that we'd never part.
In that moment, the shattered pieces of my life all seemed to fit.
And nothing could break it again.
In one breath you gave me life,
In the next you tore it from me.
My hopes are dashed.
My dreams were crashed.
In that instant my life was smashed and you deserted my love.
The inky blackness has grasped my sight,
Brightest day has turned to night.
And I have lost the strength to fight for anything but your love.
I hunger, and cannot be sated.
I thirst, and cannot be slaked.
I sleep, and nightmares fill my dreams.
Words of hope ring hollow in my ears.
Peace and happiness have left my soul,
They, as I, cannot live without you.
Now my soul descends to misery.
My mind bends to madness.
My body decays to rot.
And, in the end, when my spirit is purged from this land, my only
epitath will be your name.
For your love I have lived.
For your love I now die.
Always, eternally, for your love.

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Haernos, in the year 107 MA.
