In the deepness of slumber

In the deepness of slumber,
What do you dream?
In the enfoldings of sleep
Are we all what we seem?

Do you dream of me there
In the unconscious lands?
While I watch you sleeping
Caressing you with my hands

Is this our reality,
Where, together, we love?
Or is this a wonderful dream
Sent from the Gods above.

If this be but a dream,
I wish to wake never more
And place my all in this dream
To be with you evermore.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Lleian, in the year 104 MA.
