Life to 21

This one is dedicated to all of my friends, living or dead, especially
Irisa, Poem, and Dagny. I love you all so much.

I used to see you laugh
at what all the suckers had become
and what we're doing to ourselves
like a lullaby we sing.

And now they days are growing colder
and winters coming round again
I don't see your face lit up like summer fire
and I don't see you anymore

It always ends this way
another half-life fades away
and I don't see your face like before
and I don't know who you are anymore

And I'm lost in what to say
laughing, I don't know what we've become
'falling down on my face becomes my pass-time
and I've got nothing left to burn.

I don't know if we will mend or bend
or breakdown at all in the end
if you could tell me who I am
Because I've lost myself in my own mind.
and I've got nothing left to burn

But when I see you
tripping round the gate again
I know I'll find a way back in
and I'll find something left to do

There is nothing left to say
when we don't know who we are
except to laugh at all the suckers
and what they have become

And I know that I'm not perfect
but if I can find a way back into you
I know we'll be alright.
I know we'll be alright.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Slyphian, in the year 101 MA.
