A Hand Outstretched

Written by: Veritor Thalion, Bard of the Pride

Addressed to: Everyone

A hand outstretched
Speaks to me
More said than just words

A fall below
Far to go
Not so far to land

A means to an end
Time shall not bend
And death comes as it will

Fall, fall, fall
Nothing more to do

But watch the sky stretch past

A rush of wind
Floats past my ears
And whistles through my head

A sudden shock
A breaking snap
And all shall end just like that

And then awake
Stirred and sweating
Upright in my sheets

Cooling wind
And memories
Of a hand outstretched

V.

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Lleian, in the year 100 MA.
