Hush

Hush....
Give the sweeping silence
that haunts the alleys of leaves
its due.
Giving in isn't so hard to do.

Hush hush,
let it go, my love,
this wind taht sighs through you
and whistles down empty rooms,
painted by a time long past midnight;
though this doesn't seem quite right.

Hush....
I've lost it now; somehow,
this roaring silence
that gives way to the wind.
And in the end, we say,
light gives way to quiet dusk
hush hush....
and let darkness sweep in like a hand

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Slyphian, in the year 99 MA.
