This is my first time posting anything up here....but I felt it was
about time to do so.

Please have patience with a novice writer 🙂

Redemption

alone
I batter against the walls of
The prison of my mind
Screaming, crying, lost in the dark
Again and again I throw myself
Against the unyielding walls
Bruising my skin in my desperate attempt
To free myself of this cell
My head drops back, and my final cry
Heartfelt wail of anguish and loneliness
Screams along the barren halls
And chambers of my soul
Yet somehow, someway, you hear my call
You come, and break the chains that bind
Bringing light and warmth and safety
To a heart gone bitter and blind

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Arios, in the year 99 MA.
