I came to this realm young and bright eyed,
Roaming around with a cheerful smile and
gleeful skip. The day I met you, it made
things even better. Your kindness and
sincerity was something I was not used to.

Over time, you became my friend. From
there my feelings for you grew to something
that was beyond anything I ever knew. I
was deeply in love with you, something I
knew that I could never let go of.

I confessed to you the way I felt and you
confessed the same to me. My heart grew
with join as I hugged you in my arms as
not a friend, but a love. As the months
went by, we grew to be closer and closer.

But one day, you told me that we should
separate our ties to one another. The
sorrow I felt was something I had never
felt and never could have imagined. You
disappeared from my life and I moved on.

Years passed by and the sands of time
created new things in my life. I dated
others, fell in love, but none could
replace the gaping whole you once filled
inside my heart. I dreamed of you endlessly.

I looked before me and there you were.
I blinked my eyes, thinking it was only a
dream of the night, but you hugged me into
your arms and all I could do was rejoice
inside, enjoying being in your arms again.

Now you are mine again, and I am yours.
