When I was a young girl
I followed you around
When I was sad or blue
In you hapiness I found

But one day you were gone
I couldn't find you anywhere
I roamed the lands searching
Looking for someone to care

I finally met a man
and with him I got that feeling
which swept me off my feet
and sent me into reeling

But there was something missing
Something I could not find
even thought he was sweet and gentle
and loving, warm and kind

Then along came another
Who became my bestest friend
We did everything as one
I thought we'd be together to the end

But once again it was lacking
Something which niggled in my mind
So I put my heart in to my work
Always putting myself to the grind

One day I was wandering
towards the bank I strolled
When in the corner of my eye
I saw the memory old

He looked at me smiling
I looked back with my heart
How many years had it been
Since we were last not apart

I ran to his side
To make sure he was real
Wrapped my arms around his waist
His soft silver fur I could feel

But it took some time
To say what I felt
Every time I saw him
My heart began to melt

So one day I let him know
How much I still cared
How my love was still his
after all that it had faired

He took me in his arms
Softly whispering my name
Then he gently licked my cheek
And told me he felt the same

We were one once again
This time I hope it is forever
Because in my heart I know
You and I are meant to be together
