Poetry News Post #316

*sigh*

It's like you don't see
Through the veils of time.
It's like you don't see those ghosts,
Their own bloody tales in mime.
The swords slippery with blood
The screams of the tormented
The whimpering of the children
The pleadings of the repented.
Cries and butcherings,
Cities crumble and fall.
Those champions, those fighters
Those who once stood brave and tall
Fodder for the crows
Tears for their loved ones
Death tolls for us all
Alluring in its dismal tones
War calls for us all
Calls for our sacrifice
Will you stop and think?
Will you all just think twice?

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Variach, in the year 93 MA.
