Do you see that candle?
being burned out
extinguished in its own pool of wax
wax, hot and suffocating
not unlike the darkness that drives my spirit
While the flame still burns
the wax drips and lends stability to the candle
appearing more matured
But eventually the candle will meet up with the wax
That wax it has left behind and allowed to fester unheeded.
And the wax will destroy the candle, put out the light
And put out the light.
while I read
I sympathize with the candle, not what is written
as it draws closer to its fate
giving me its last breath
