Fool

There once was a fool, most laughed hard and long
Yes there once was a fool, and he threatened and hides
Mersalis, Mersalis, the jester, the fool
If only for a moment he could wear come forth from the corner
yet always will he wear the little pointed hat
the mark of the fool

Much bigger and better men have tried, and failed
I am sure this won't be any different
He always goes crying when push comes to shove, for a coward at heart
he is...
ALas, but the jester makes jest that just make him more of a fool.
Many Lasses have fallen to his charm only to laugh once they were done.
Yes, this is how the jester tries and fails..

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Variach, in the year 92 MA.
