You and I

Are we so different, you and I?
You may claim so, and that is a lie

You walk in the day, I walk in the night
You hide from the dark, I hide from the light
We may be different to common sight
But we are not truly different, theres no need to fight

My heart can still bleed, my heat can still break
I can still feel love and I can still feel hate
In appearance, similarity we may defy
But in our hearts we're no different, you and I

You call me a monster, you call me a demon
Is this your fear - that we are both one?
If we are so different then why do I see
You in a mirror, no different to me?

Are we so different, you and I?
You may claim so, and that is a lie

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Variach, in the year 91 MA.
