Change

It's everywhere
You can't feel it
Or taste it or
Touch it, hear it,
See it, but
It's always there,
Ruining things
And starting anew

It's inside my
Body, in my words,
Twisting, turning,
Writhing around,
Taking the spotlight,
Trying to trick me
Into more things I
Don't and never
Wanted

It's in the air
Around my face,
Blowing, seething,
Growing, moving,
Shifting here and
Fixing there, it
Just keeps never
Stopping

It's in the tidings
Of the world,
Warping people
And events,
Making wars and
Giving birth
To destruction
And chaos

It's in the words
I write and the
Meanings I
Meant, never
Coming out right,
All because of
This thing called
Change

The not-so-crazy, not-so-sane Isabel Brisingamen-A'Landros-Forestwalker

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Lanosian, in the year 86 MA.
