Remorseful Whispers

Addressed to: Dhar, the Underking

Oh, Underking, silent in your shroud,
To you, my sorrowful whispers are avowed.
In the throes of sadness, I come undone,
For the lives lost, my heart weighs a ton.

With tears that flow like rivers uncontrolled,
I mourn the souls departed, the stories untold.
The unknown led me to this fateful bend,
But grief and despair, my eternal friend.

Each life extinguished, a flame in the dark,
Leaves an ache in my soul, a painful mark.
The echoes of their laughter, now silent and still,
Haunt me with regret, an unyielding chill.

Oh, God of Death, hear my mournful cries,
As I face the consequences with tear-stained eyes.
Forgive this broken spirit, lost in its plight,
And guide me through shadows toward what's right.

Let your mercy descend like a gentle rain,
Washing away this guilt, this lingering pain.
For in sadness's embrace, I seek Your grace,
From thee, O Death, in this somber space.

Penned by my hand on Tisday, the 2nd of Sapiarch, in the year 3 AC.
