The Blooded Bride

Written by: Red Tyrant Maeve Visara, a Most Eligible Widow

She came with the sowing of discord,

Her veil a wretched trail of himari,

Her gown of mausoleum silks, fine,

And she was mine.

Mourning whispers adorned her lips,

Upon her finger, a solemn bone vow,

Benighted in black, cursed by red,

She of whom I was to wed.

Bloodmaiden fair, Bloodmaiden dark,

With your painful promises,

With your terrifying charms,

You have me, unarmed.

Long may you reign,

Queen of my grave,

Both solace and torment,

My nocturnal sonnet.

Penned by my hand on Tisday, the 5th of Lexadian, in the year 2 AC.
