Around the Corner

I keep expecting you to be there, to see you.
I can still hear your words, the lingering pauses of silence.
I can still feel your touch, remembering each kiss.
Just around the corner, I keep seeing you.
Only to reach it, and nothing remains.
Yet, my arms ache, my soul cries its silent tears.
Each moment still fresh in my mind.
Each spoken words still fresh
I have none to blame but myself
My own shattered heart, my own doing.
The grief at times, overwhelming.
I go through my day, and I keep expecting
to see you, around the corner.
To see that smile that came more often as I knew you.
To hear that laugh, that I worked hard to achieve.
All just around the corner.

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Arios, in the year 82 MA.
