I shouldn't write poetry

What do you do when you lose your way?
You certainly don't know what to say.
You shouldn't write bad poetry, but anyway.

So here I am, still not sure where to go.
I was once smart, brave, but now am a weak doe.
Might as well go ahead and take me out with that bow.

I let Someone down long ago.
Only now does that pain begin to flow.
Ignoring a seeping wound is not the way to go.

So, back to the work it is.
Stop pushing aside the sins.
Accept your state and lift your chin.

For Sapience must win.
Put aside your chagrin.
Let us begin.

Penned by my hand on Closday, the 20th of Ios, in the year 484 MA.
