As dawn breaks for the Grook

Upon the canals he meditates solemnly,
Eyes half closed breathing slowly.
Dawn was falling through a sieve,
as silver grainy mist from skies.

Moon takes a last dip in the pond,
wading through the dark waters.
She walks away to eastern horizon,
wearing her wet clothes, cascading like falls.

Eyes closed water lilies aloof upon the surface.
Pre-dawn mysteries yet to arrive,
flakes of moon light still afloat in the darkness,
as beauty of dawn is to unfold soon.

Slowly sun signalled the raise of the curtain.
Golden brooms swept the darkness away.
Symphony of life begins the performance.
The planes reverberated with the music of life.

He wakes up suddenly from his trance.
His throat moved in folds of waves to croak.
The blooming lotus opens one by one.
There he leapt, splashing, his tongue focused.

With a dragon fly struggling in his mouth.
Again falling to the depths of silent contemplation.

Penned by my hand on Closday, the 1st of Severin, in the year 472 MA.
