luminary ball poem 1

Written by: Fox of the Rhythm, Meyvitch Qefin-Yaslana
Date: Monday, July 1st, 2013
Addressed to: Everyone

I see a child swinging in the air, laughing in the dawn.
A spear of wood and rope to me, another night has gone.
Legs akimbo, arms held wide, rushing through the blue,
the child thinks she will not die;
I begin to think it too.
With a spear of steel and blood, I turn to walk away
And that is when, the shadows gone, I learn to face the day.

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Lleian, in the year 394 MA.
