roads

Closed eyes wind at my back carry me on into this road my darkest
plight.
One foot in front the other the sound of steps my only company.
Chill of her breath on my neck the night wind blows.
Arms streatched out seeking the consulation of an embrace
No rain to cover the tear no sun to burn the pain away.
Parted lips in silent scream inner voice a scolding dream.
Gold and silver lay all about unseen like restless lovers .
Gleaming gems of knowledge and understanding
Like smoke slipping through clutched fingers.
The road will the end be found or will another take its place.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Variach, in the year 348 MA.
