My Heart's Lament

Written by: Teididh Mathghamhium, Jaegth Solais

My heart flutters, am I sure I saw love
Twinkle of her eye, it leaves me enchanted
Surely you reached, to the heavens above
Plucked from the sky, stars oh so vivid

Do I persue her, I can not for fear
Friends may be lost, breaking those dear
I must watch carefully, wait for my time
Perhaps she will see, and one day be mine

What is this, she is with a man I see
I have cursed myself, my foolish inaction
Her affection the pain, oh gods mercy
Why did I wait, my bane, my poison

But she is happy, and my own smile shows
My hate is wrong, feelings I must dispose
Her joy is my truth, it is my content
I will always miss her, my heart's lament

Be Well, and know Miss, that you are wonderful.

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Midsummer, in the year 269 MA.
