Cry of Love

Will you hear me, Esylana,
though you are young and I more so?
Listen, hear my silent pleas;
within them lies my soul

Though I be young in flesh and blood,
my heart and soul are old
So both of these I offer you
for you my life I hold

Do not see this as immature
do not see this as bold,
to reject me for naught but age
would leave me shattered, cold

I only ask for you, my dear
to do what will keep you from tears.

Written by Gilfareth Bouchard

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Khepary, in the year 266 MA.
